Approved Specialized Early Childhood Education (Pre-K) Training Program
This training is offered to teachers that need to acquire twelve hours of approved early childhood coursework to teach in Pr-Kindergarten classrooms. The completion of this training program, which includes boot camp participation and two on-line courses, will be the equivalent of twelve hours of course work needed for teachers and assistants of per-kindergarten classrooms (general education/special education) lacking an emphasis in early childhood. The boot camp training will also meet the requirements of professional development for administrators of per-kindergarten classrooms. All participants must select one site for the entire training. Last day to register is June 3, 2019.

| Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 | Eligible attendees for this training includes teachers, counselors, and administrators who are employed by a school district or MDE. Unless specifically noted otherwise, external contractors or vendors may not attend. This event is being funded with state and/or federal funds and is being provided for employees of school districts, employees of the Mississippi Department of Education and Department contractors. Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 prohibits governing authorities from making donations. According to the Mississippi Attorney General, once the federal funds are turned over to the state, the rules for the expenditure of state funds apply. Based on the Mississippi law, this event is not being provided for third party vendors or external providers. |
