Hidden Disorders: Right In Front of Our Eyes
How do you know if a child is struggling to read because his/her vision is distorted? Have you ever asked a student to read something, only to have him/her falter? Have you asked, "What do you see when you look at that page?" or "What do you see when you are trying to hit a ball?" The answer might surprise you. And those answers, plus things you can observe about their behavior will be the objects of the 2019 conference.
Each Speaker will bring a perspective on vision/ visual processing disorders based on his/her specialty. These perspectives differ because multiple approaches are sometime required to optimize the child's ability to see and appropriately process what is seen.
Targeted Audience: educators, school board members, legislators, medical professions, and the public.
